The team of Alternatives have been to Lwang Village for the capacity building on october 9th and 10th 2010. We have jeep ride from Pokhara to Khoramuk for two hour. Then we climbed to Lwang village for about one hour. We have cultural program at night. The cultural program was organized for the celebration of new wedding ceremony. The team of Alternatives supported Rs 500 for the cultural group. All the members had enjoyed alot in the program. They joined cultural program upto 11 pm in the night with dacing, singing and joking.
The next day everybody climbed to the Tea Garden in Lwang Village for about one hour. The views of the Mt. Machhapuchhre and the tea Garden was wonderful senery. All the member involved in tea picking with local people. After one hour roaming in tea garden we were ready to have a capacity building program in Chautara.
In Chautara all the team member joined and discussed for the future planning of an organization. Then after they all got back to home stay. They all have morning meal and visited to the village. They visited Day Care Child Center, Tea Factory, ACAP sub unit office, Gumba, Temples and many traditional villages.
We left Lwang village at 12pm. We walked from Lwang to Pokhara for about 5 hour.We walked with bird watching, riverside seen without riding to jeep.
The program in Lwang was one of my wonderful moment in my life. I think once you visit to Pokhara then you should go to Lwang village for Tea Garden, Cultural program, bird watching and for view of Mt. Machhapuchhre.
