Dhampus is an entrance of ABC trekking. It is a place from where we can see the lovely views of Himalayan Range. So many people come to this village either for ABC trekking or to view the mountains. Along with that we can also observe the Gurung community culture, Gurung villages, Rhododendron, natural views and short trek.
A group of youths from Yuwa Forum jeep climbed to Dhampus at 20 October from Harichowk, Pokhara. It took about 1 and half hour. We all stayed in Dhaulagiri Hotel which was in the of Dhampus village. We had wonderful views of Himalayan Range with sunset in the evening. We had recreational activities in the night before dinner such as dancing, singing, joking and many others in the open sky. After dinner we made chat or sharing to each other and got asleep.
Early in the morning we got up at 5.30am and climbed to Pothane. After walking about 1 hour we had view of sunrise and the wonderful views of Himalayan range which was better than from Dhampus. We saw many foreigners enjoying it a lot there. We had a cup of tea there and swing too. We had seen a deer grazing in the jungle. Then we reached to Dhampus at 8.00am. We had breakfast and got back to Pokhara in the last jeep at 11.00am.
At Pokhara we gone to Sarala Das home and had morning meal at 1.00pm. We played cards there and got back to home.
