Nepal Disabled Human Rights Centre is a National level NGO; advocates on the issues of Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

It is assume that 2.4 million Persons with disabilities are situated in Nepal. Among them more than 6 hundred thousand people are people with Intellectual disability and severe disability.

The living condition of people with severe and Intellectual disability is getting worse day by day. The existing policy has not been properly implemented for people with severely and intellectually disabled. The situation leading them to the bottom pile of socio economic status and not able to utilize the services offered by the government. In a family where there is person with severe and Intellectual disability the member of the family have to help them regularly so they always take them as a burden.

We can't imagine how worse the situation of severe Person with disability who doesn't have any relatives. On this issue DHRC-Nepal has send letters to stakeholders time to time for seeking information but there was not any response of that letter so from Nepal Disabled Human Rights Centre Advocate Shudarson Subedi and from the side of severe disability Dipendra Shakya has registered write petition today on Supreme Court.

In this write application we are demanding for disability access physical Infrastructure, on the condition of severe and Intellectual disability unemployment allowance and caretaker should be given, there should be guarantee of education, health, Community disability house should be made for helpless people and re-writing of disabled protection & welfare act 2039.

My trip to Patichour, Deupur

It was the time of Dashai, many friend came to their home. My collage was also near to Dashai vacation. I was with my friend in the collage in administration section for his registration process. I was waiting him in the garden. Suddenly Bishnu and Ram Krishna appeared in there. He came from Janakpur for Dashai vacation. We sat on the garden and talked for a half an hour. My friend went to home after his work finished and I was with them. We left the campus, on the way with met with Joyti Bhattachan madam waiting for somebody. She invited us for mo mo: party in her home. On the way we planned to visit the Deupur VDC which is the village of Binaka. Luckily the exam of Binaka was over on the same day. We planned to surprised her to go to village. After her exam we surprised and proposed to go to village.
The next day we planned to go to village. That day my friend Dinesh got married. I have to attend the wedding ceremony. He was my childhood friend. Early in the morning we went watch gurung movie. It was about three hour long and quite enjoyable. After movie I went to Arbin home to go together in wedding ceremony. We went there. We stayed in the Christian holy wedding ceremony. It was my first experience to attend the Christian holy wedding. I stay until it finished. It finished at 1pm. I had some food and requested with Dinesh to leave. Arbin took me to my home and then to bus stop.
They all joined in the bus stop. We caught the bus but it was too packed. We all went to the top of the bus and enjoyed it. Suddenly heavy rainfall we all got inside the bus. We reached there at 3.30pm. We reached at Patichour. There we had tea in Binaka's uncle home. We left and started to climb up the Deupur VDC. We climbed up the hill for about five hour. We reached the village at 8pm. It was totally dark. Some how we reached there. It was hungry as well as too tired. We took rest in Binaka's uncle house. Uncle started to cook food for us and we went to the empty house and lid the fire. We cleaned the house and prepared the bed. We had dinner. It was too good and had more than the usual day. After meal we all went to the same house.
There we make the fire and started to chat. We chatted in different topic up to 1pm. We cleared many differences that arises in our friendship and also cleared the future way. We also committed to help each other in the way of cultivation and the spiritual path. We got asleep at 2pm.
Early in the morning we woke up and we enjoyed with the scenery and beauty of different villages. Many villagers came to us to chat with us. We started to clean the veranda. It was full of grass and dirty. We picked off the grass and groom up it. We clean up the house in such a way we make it a clean house like every house in every Dashai. Some cooked food. We had it and leave it at 1pm.
We left the house and walked in the different way than the day before. We entered to Indra's home and met his wife and his parents as well. We reached to Nayapool and took bus. We all reached to home at Pokhara at 8pm.

Tour to Mirmi

Increasing number of vehicles in Pokhara

Today I went to pay tax for my bike. It was to renew my bill book. Some year ago very little people were seen in the transportation office, Kaski but today I was tired because I have to stand more than one hour queue for paying tax. About a half day I have spend to renew a bill book. Before I reach there I thought I can do it within one hour but my prediction was totally wrong.
I have never seen such a people in the government office. It seems like a great festival is going there. There were many brokers to help people. They have separate section which look like stall in some expo. Luckily I got a short line otherwise it will take whole day for me to renew my bill book. Some year before bike users were more in Pokhara but today I saw the queue of bike user is shorter than motor users. The number of car users in Pokhara has been increased tremendously.
Today only I realize that why traffic jam is often happen in Pokhara. Two year before we never meet with traffic jam. I realize that why the accident number is increasing in Pokhara. I realize why parking problem in Nepal.
How they replace the bike by car? It is because the financial institution grow in every house of Pokhara, or because of illegal activities or real state business. Any way I feel happy that the living standard of Pokhareli people has increased. On the other hand I am unhappy because the pollution has increased tremendously, accident increased, parking problem, traffic jam etc.
So the authority people should think and plan for the proper regulation of transportation management of Nepal otherwise it will be burden in the coming near future for the beauty of Pokhara, tourism, Pokhara itself and the people of Pokhara.

Every Saturday we have meeting with students who are benefited from scholarship. They are trained about entrepreneurship development, mentor ship, journalism, career development, technology/computer and language development.

Today date 2011/10/15 we have discussion program on dashai. Every body enjoy that last dashai. They have putted tika on their forehead, they enjoyed with their family members, they played swing, wore new cloths, shopping, playing cards etc.

Durga one of the student told that she didn't put tika because somebody in her family has delivered. Some of them did't get to play swing.

They all add that Dashai is the festival of Nepal not of Hindu. If it is of Hindu why Indian people didn't celebrate it? So every culture, caste, religions, ethnic groups, etc celebrate it as a national festival of Nepal.

They also add that why we celebrate Dashai? In this point, the view is that family member gone to different part of country and outside country for employment. They have faced many problem and adapted bad culture there. In this festival everybody got back to their home so the elder give bless to their children for every good work. This festival will create the positive vibration in people to do best work.

In conclusion dashai is the national festival. It is the festival to get blessing from elder to younger for the betterment and positive vibrations.
