Strike in 28th and 30th Baishak in Nepal

In the day of 28th the Strike of Chettri Samaj was peacefully ended inspite of some small incidents. The window glass of Prabhu Finance and some financial institution was broken by the member of Samaj. The group of Samaj also went inside the industrial area of Pokhara and they forced the labours not to work. So there was fight between the group of Samaj and the labour group of Moaist.
In the same day we have the wedding ceremony of the president of Alternatives Mr. Samundra Paudel. We went as Janti. Our motorbike was caught by the group of Samaj and we left where they caught us. Anyway we joined the wedding ceremony and enjoyed it a lot.
In the day of 30th the strike of Indigenous Association of Nepal was also peacefully implemented. There was no any incident in that day. The group of indigenous came with their cultural dress and with their cultural dance, song and instruments.
The main cause of strike by Indigenous Association was that the government of Nepal don't listen and inact the right of indigenous group of Nepal in new constitution. So as a pressure to government of Nepal the strike was called up.
Due to this strike of Indigenous Association the donors or international funder of Nepal had stopped about 11 millions to the association. The association was included to voilate the human rights of people through strike in Nepal.

Rally in Pokhara

On the occasion of Nepali New Year 2068 the civil society of Pokhara organized the peace rally in Pokhara. Many organizations joined the rally. The rally started from the Human Right Chowk, Pokhara and ended at Pokhara City Hall. About 500 people participated to the rally. The program was formally closed in City Hall. The main theme of the rally was to create pressure to build new constitution in Nepal for constitution assembly. During the closing program the participant of the rally flew over the pigeon as a symbol of peace in Nepal. For the pressure to the member of constitute assembly the participants of the rally presented them a big pencil. Finally the president of the civil society Pokhara has given his vote of thanks and formally closed program speech to all the participants.

In the peace rally the member of Alternatives also participated with the banner of its organization from Human Right Chowk to City Hall Pokhara.

Beauracracy in Prithivi Narayan Campus

A year ago I have joined in MA Economics in Prithivi Narayan Campus. It was soon I have completed my BBA in Pokhara University. After I have joined the collage, I started to go to collage as well. I have to choose major subjects in first year. I have choose mathematical economics but I have create the group of ten for the class. So we don't have class for about 15 days. We make a group of more than ten students and we put application on the collage. The collage provide us teacher.
Like wise we have choose options in History of Economic Thoughts and Economitrics. My interest is in economitrics. I asked for the class but they told me to make students of ten. Nobody wanted to read it. So I decided to read myself and have bought books. I haven't took class of History of Economics Thought.
After winter vaccation I have been to India for three month training on Community Initiative in Inclusion. Now our exam is coming near. We have to filled up the exam form. 8th may is the last date to filled up the exam form. In may 2nd I have gone to collage and asked for the exam form. I have seen the list of the subject that we can give the exam in the notice board. I didn't find economitrics subject in the list.
Then I have asked to the authority person. They told me that if there is not class of economitrics then we are not allow to give exam on that subject. I went to the campus chief for inqury. I didn't find him in his office. Then I went to met vice campus chief. He told me that you should meet to the head of department of economics. He gave me cell number. When I tried to call then it was switch off. Luckily when I got call with him then he told me to meet one person. I am going to meet that person in sunday the last date for exam form.
If the person told no you cannot give exam of econometrics then I have to give exam of History of Economic Thought.
Today there is the steps ahead of students, teachers, and staffs of Prithivi Narayan Campus to make it a university. I feel that it is just their words during their speech in some programs. If they are still cannot solve such a small problem how they can manage the university standard to compete it internationally.

Including Intellectual impairment and mental illness in disability types in Census 2011 in Nepal

About one month is left for 2011 census in Nepal. It is to know the actual data of the population of the country which help country to allocate the resources proportionately. The census is done in every ten year. Different training for respondent to collect data, worshops, awareness throught televison, radio/FM and preparation for census is going on highly in Nepal.
The major issues in the census will be disability data. The problem for the respondent are:
1. They hesitate to ask about disability
2. They are unaware about the type of disability
3. They think disability is only phisically impairment
So special training for the respondent to collect accurate data of disability is essentail.
The next autism, cerebal palsy, intellectual impairement are totally new for the country. The option of intellectual impairement and mental illness is there in the quesstionare. But the intellectual impairement and mental illness is totally different term and it should be done properly in census. For this also special training should give to data collector.
